Pastor Kevin Grant Nuzum & family
Kevin Nuzum has been a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Shinnston. He obtained a BA in Elementary Education from Fairmont State College and a MA in Reading from West Virginia University. Pastor Kevin is a graduate of the WV Baptist Convention School of Christian Studies pastoral program Kevin was employed as a full-time teacher for the Harrison County Schools for 15 years. Mr. Nuzum taught Title I remedial reading and math, 3rd grade and 4th grade during his career at Big Elm Elementary School. He served as the youth pastor at the First Baptist Church of Shinnston for 19 years. Kevin then served as the interim pastor before becoming Pastor on August 30, 2009. Pastor Kevin has filled the pulpit in different churches throughout the area and served as the Pastor at Marshville Baptist Church near Salem before returning home to FBC. Mr. Nuzum is also currently employed by the Harrison County Board of Education as a substitute teacher and coach. Kevin lives in Shinnston with his wife Bethany (Reed) formerly of Salem and their son Grant.
